EXPANDS DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY LINE
Large-Area Portable System Brings DR To Patient Bedside
IRVINE, CALIFORNIA, November
15, 2004 -- The Medical Systems
Division of Canon U.S.A., Inc., will show its full line
of digital radiography (DR) products during RSNA that
feature a variety of medical technology advances and
increased versatility to help medical professionals provide
improved patient care. One system, the Canon CXDI-50G,
is a large-area portable DR system that when integrated
to a portable x-ray unit it can be used at multiple patient
locations such as patient’s bedside, ICU or Trauma.

This DR system will be displayed in different portable
configurations at the Canon booth (#4500) at the Radiological
Society of North America (RSNA), November 28 – December
2, at the McCormick Convention Center in Chicago, IL. The
company will also display other systems in its DR line:
the Canon CXDI-40G General DR system, this system will
be featured in a universal stand, R & F table, remote
table and single plate solution. Canon will also feature
its CXDI-31 Portable DR system, the lightest and most compact
DR systems of its kind In addition, the company will exhibit
the DR Image Viewer, a viewing system designed for optimum
use with Canon DR. The MAS (Mobile Access Station) System
will also be displayed at this year RSNA. Designed to improve
workflow of patient data transfer on the digital portable
x-ray units and meet productivity demands of trauma, ICU
and bedside care.
Canon Medical Systems is pleased to announce that both
the CXDI-50G and CXDI-31 are now available under new contracts
with MedAssets Supply Chain Systems, Inc. and Novation
LLC. Both contracts allow portable, bedside or trauma DR
imaging with the CXDI-31 and CXDI-50G as well as upgrades
to existing radiographic rooms using the highly innovative
CXDI-50G.
